This British Heart Week, we want to share the story behind it and why this collection is so close to our hearts.
The Story Behind Pink Heart
From day one, our Pink Heart Collection has been about more than just a cute design. For every item sold, we donate £2.50 to Evelina London Children’s Hospital, where an incredible team provides life-saving heart care for children.
Why Evelina London? Because this is personal.
When our founders, Pollyanna and Rob, faced every parent's worst fear. Their two-year-old daughter suddenly needing emergency heart surgery and thankfully they found comfort and expert care at the Evelina. It was a terrifying time, but thanks to the amazing NHS cardiac specialists, their daughter pulled through. She's now a happy, thriving four-year-old.
During that emotional chapter, Rob painted the Pink Heart design. Like all our prints, it was done by hand - but this one came straight from the heart. It’s a tribute to love, strength, and the families who face congenital heart conditions with unimaginable courage.
Why This Matters
Here in the UK, around 13 babies are born every day with a congenital heart defect. That’s over 4,500 every year, and many of those babies need surgery in their first few weeks of life.
At Evelina London, over 500 heart surgeries are carried out on children each year. These are complex, urgent operations, handled with extraordinary skill by a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and specialists. Their work is nothing short of life-changing.
